The Last Summer is an American romantic comedy film directed by William Bindley from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Bindley. The film stars KJ Apa, Jacob Latimore, Maia Mitchell and Tyler Posey.
It was released on May 3, 2019, by Netflix.

She and her daughter Madison witness the birth of a giant larva dubbed Mothra . Emma calms Mothra down with a device, the "Orca", which is capable of emitting frequencies that only Titans can hear. Mothra becomes docile, until an organization of eco-terrorists, led by Alan Jonah, attack and kidnap both Emma and Madison.
